The Real War On Christmas And The Mythical "Silent Night"

Every year I try to slow down at Christmas and not get eaten by the cultural add-ons that our American society has saddled the Advent season with. We should be declaring and celebrating the Good News in the season that tells of the birth of Christ. Too many church programs, school programs, office parties, our overindulgence in spending, finding perfect presents and growing in debt make us frantic.
Beside all the the cultural trappings we miss the power of the Word of God addressed to God's people trough out the ages.

Even our Christmas carols of a religious nature miss the mark as we look back at the incarnation of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ, whose name means "Savior" and "Anointed One", the long awaited Messiah, gets His message of forgiveness

The SEC's 10 Greatest Skill Position Football Players (Since 1970)

The SEC's 10 Greatest Skill Position Football Players (Since 1970)

This list is factual accurate and indisputable, unless you disagree.

1) Hershel Walker, #34, Georgia, 1980-1982.
Georgia was 6-5 in 1979. In 1980 a senior from Johnson County High School signs to play for the Dawgs. The results are 12-0 and a National Championship for the previous year's 6-5 team. In 1982 he won the Heisman. He could have won all three years. Voters were not

QUESTION RECEIVED: Is it biblical for Pastors to retire?

MY ANSWER:

That has been asked before. "Is it Biblical for pastors to retire?" The answer is simple, there are no retirements of ministers in the Bible or talk of 401K and IRA plans for gospel ministers. The great Billy Graham once said that the Apostle Paul never retired. But that statement was made before old age and infirmity wore him down. I have talked to several Methodist ministers around age sixty. They have taken early retirement. Their stated reason that no one wants
