Who Is The Enemy Of Christ?

QUESTION RECEIVED:
As Christians are we to hate the evil doer as well as the evil? Is there scripture for this position?

MY ANSWER:

NO!!! We love Christ so much we would never scoff at His work on the cross to save our souls and other sinners from Hell by our own arrogant hate. Our only true response to show our love for Christ and His creation is to witness and evangelize to those He created and loved and died to redeem.

Sinners are not to be hated but concerned for. Why? They are in agony, separated from God, unforgiven and

Christian Hipsters Explained For The Uncool

QUESTION RECEIVED:

What is a "Christian Hipster?" How concerned should I be concerning this?
It seems they want to just be like the world.

MY ANSWER:

Hipster Christianity seems to me is how some in their late teens and early thirty's approach their faith today in a stylish way. It is easy to take shots at other generations. Dress, attitude and what you declare as important are always suspect to the other generation. One thing about hipsters, I have never met

Does God Care What Church Leaders Give-YES

QUESTION RECEIVED:

Is there any where in the Bible that talks about auxiliary dues??? How do you deal with leaders in the church that are not tithing???

MY ANSWER:

Auxiliary dues? This is a strange phrase in my church tradition.
I had to research the phrase. What I understand is that auxiliary dues are expected contributions to the organization one belongs to. No, auxiliary dues are not in the Bible.

The church is supported by the tithes and offerings of members. These tithes and offerings are from the blood

Titanic - what really went down in eternity

The movie Titanic in the 1990's seemed to capture the complete fascination of this historic tragedy when that ship sank early on April 15th 1912. The ship was sent off with a foolish headline from a major newspaper that said “This Ship Is Unsinkable, Even God Himself Can’t Sink It!”. It sank. This big news item ship was nothing but status for it's passengers. The world media was reporting

Council To A Future Husband

Recently I was asked to contribute to a memory book being prepared for a young man preparing to get married. Here is the advise I sent.
This is for a Christian husband. Women, if he is not a Christian here is your advise, run!!!

My three areas of council to a future Christian husband-

1.) Faith-You will be or should be the priest of your home. Will you be providing Scripture reading, prayer and family worship?
This is where women fail in choosing a husband. They are choosing the priest of their home and children.
Do not negate your witness by your mouth, what you allow on you TV or computer and personal habits.
Yes, you will be criticized by other men when you turn from these things. Do you want to honor God and your wife and family or guys in the world?

2.) Finance-With out a budget you will spiral into frustration. Crown Ministries and David Ramsey both offer good information on this.
Debt and wasteful spending cause the most family crisis.

3.) Raising children- How you raise and discipline children needs to be discussed before you have them.

Pay That Preacher

QUESTION RECEIVED:

What does the Bible say about some pastors taking hugh salaries from the church? Should members limit what they give and maybe give some to a needy cause?

MY ANSWER:

What does the Bible say about pastors getting huge salaries? Nothing.

If you think some one is greedy and profiteering from the gospel you are blessed to be, in America anyway, able to completely ignore any

Back To Corinth- church and family discipline

QUESTION RECEIVED:

My son has had an affair with someone in our family.
He and the woman divorced their spouses. It is destroying our family.
They both say they are sorry for the affair but now want to be accepted as a couple. As a Christian and mother what do I do?
Do I forgive and go on? Or do we ignore and shun them?
He is my son. It is killing us. What can we do?

MY ANSWER:

I will be praying for you. Take care knowing that the Lord knows the answer. We will look to His Word.
John 8:31-32
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
The Truth Will Make You Free
"31 So Jesus was saying to those Jews who had believed Him, “If you continue in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; 32 and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.”

This passage above deals with salvation. We know Jesus also deals

Saint Patrick -Why He Is Awesome

Saint Patrick's Day is again on March 17th.  This year in 2013 it falls on a Sunday.  He lived from 387 - 461 A.D.
This is what you need to tell every partier heading for crazy celebrations, parades with the green beer and what all that American advertising has tried to make Saint Patrick's Day. The real Saint Patrick was the most adventurous, special-forces type daring and effective evangelist for the Lord Jesus Christ since the days of the New Testament Apostles.

As a youth in what is now the United Kingdom he was kidnapped from a well to do family by pirates/Vikings. From childhood until young adulthood he was forced to

Demon Dreams?

QUESTION RECEIVED:

My son keeps dreaming about a white demon with four legs that makes a screaming sound whilst shaking its head to and Fro. We are born again Christians, and my son has the gift of discernment. He has been sick for a month now and the doctors cannot find out what is wrong with him other than to call it Yuppy Flu. He is 12 years old.I have prayed over his room and done any necessary "cleaning out" of bad books and games that could be causing this. What should i do and what is he actually seeing?

MY ANSWER:

I am glad you are "born again". A person can really only speak for their own salvation.
Your child has to be born again by his experience. You cannot declare

Big Prayer Requests

3 prayer requests-

From Anita (A.K.A. Skeeter) concerning her mother. (Age in the upper 80's). She was many of us Gainesvillian's lunch room lady at Enota.
"This is just a quick post and request...please keep my Mother (and all of us for that matter) in your thoughts and prayers. Had to take her to the hospital today and she has been admitted. Not much in the way of details to share at this point. Will update when I know more which will most likely be tomorrow at best. I'll post when I can. Thanks in advance."

David Charlton was diagnosed with LCH (LANGERHAN'S CELL HISTIOCYTOSIS) on 9/10/2008. He is a preschooler. My ministry has had Christmas fundraisers for him at The Collegiate the last two years. He needs our prayers NOW!
From his Mom Heather on His Caring Bridge page from his hospital-

And baby Abigail. More trouble. But-We have an Almighty God to turn to.

Huge prayer request for a friend's baby born on my birthday 2-24-12. Very small and premature baby Abigail, daughter of John Mark and Danyel Todd. She weighed one pound and two ounces at birth. Heal and prosper this sweet baby King of Glory, In Jesus name for your glory Father-Amen.

John 14:13-14 "New American Standard Bible (NASB)
"12 Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father. 13 Whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it."

Thank you for hearing our prayers Father-Amen.

Thanks friends for praying.

Church Building Question

QUESTION RECEIVED: Is it biblical for a church to have it's own building? Isn't a group of people enough for a church?

MY ANSWER:

Jesus worshipped in a building.
A congregation owned it.

Luke 4:16–21
"16 So He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up. And as His custom was, He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up to read. 17 And He was handed the

Do Not Hinder New Believers

QUESTION RECEIVED:

Is it wrong to consume blood? What about Acts 15:20?

MY ANSWER:

Yes, at the Jerusalem council the Apostles talked about the fresh formed active New Testament church and how Gentiles would merge with the Jewish believers in this new faith in Jesus Christ. Acts 15:20 is some of the advice for new believers that were not Jewish.

Acts 15:20

Strange Church Practices On Repentance

QUESTION RECEIVED:
"Does sharing your confessed sin to your pastor & first lady (for prayer) mean you can no longer serve in the church? The service I'm referring to is such as ushering, reading scripture out loud and as a deacon taking up the offerings. My brother can no longer read the responsive scripture reading and my daughter can no longer usher. This has been silenced for 3 Sundays. God has forgiven their repented sin, should we relocate to another church. I've been with my church 14 years, my daughter 3 years and brother 6 years. It took a lot of prayers to get them there. I am so confused. We are in the United States."

MY ANSWER:

Yes. We are to confess sins to one another for accountability so we will repent and get back on the path.
James 5:16 (NASB)
"16Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed. The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much."

No. I have no idea what a biblical description of a "first lady" as a church office is. Why? Because this is made up by someone at your church. This is not a biblical
