EPHESIANS 3:1-7 BIBLE STUDY


Ephesians 3  New King James Version (NKJV)  The Mystery Revealed
“1 For this reason I, Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus for you Gentiles— 2 if indeed you have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which was given to me for you, 3 how that by revelation He made known to me the mystery (as I have briefly written already, 4 by which, when you read, you may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ), 5 which in other ages was not made known to the sons of men, as it has now been revealed by the Spirit to His holy apostles and prophets: 6 that the Gentiles should be fellow heirs, of the same body, and partakers of His promise in Christ through the gospel, 7 of which I became a minister according to the gift of the grace of God given to me by the effective working of His power.”

Verse 1- Paul  is in prison.  Is he glad?  Describe his two prisons.
                Again, who are the Gentiles and what is remarkable of
                why he Paul  is for us?

Verse 2- What is a dispensation?  When does it begin and end?

Verse 3- What is a revelation?  Who is the “He” who gave Paul the revelation?

Verse 4- Where did Paul get this knowledge?  What is this knowledge?

Verse 5- What is this message that was not been known before but is known now      
                by His Apostles and prophets?

Verse 6- Why did this bland message read today bring shock waves to the
                New Testament church and the Jews?
               
Verse 7- What is the “the effecting work of power”?
                Have you experienced it or just heard and talk about it.
                How do we get this power?
                Are you ready to receive it? 

Prayer Request- Unspoken friend for his injuries and wife’s illness-
Bubby Charlton 5 year old with Langerhans cell histiocytosis- My ministry and job-  The move of God in this community-The addiction problem in this community- For evangelism of the lost and sanctification of the saved (real revival).

Verse 1- Paul  is in prison.  Is he glad?  Not the real prison but he likes the prison he is in serving Jesus ChristDescribe his two prisons. He is in both voluntarily
                Again, who are the Gentiles and what is remarkable of
                why he Paul  is for us?
Gentiles are non-Jews described as dogs in the New Testament.

Verse 2- What is a dispensation? A period of time When does it begin and end?
                 Until Christ returns or you die.

Verse 3- What is a revelation? A showing of a mystery or hidden truth. Who is the “He” who gave Paul the revelation? Jesus Christ(Galatians 1:1, 1:12)

Verse 4- Where did Paul get this knowledge?  What is this knowledge?
                (Galatians  1:15-17) confirmed by (Galations 1:18-2:1, 2:9-10)
Verse 5- What is this message that was not been known before but is known now     
                by His Apostles and prophets?
                The gospel of GRACE!
Verse 6- Why did this bland message read today bring shock waves to the
                New Testament church and the Jews?
               The gospel is for all, even the Gentiles-US!
               
Verse 7- What is the “the effecting work of power”?  
                JUSTIFICATION & SANCTIFICATION
                Have you experienced it or just heard and talk about it?
                How do we get this power?  Are you ready to receive it?
