Question answered from a young African> WHAT TO BELIEVE ABOUT HEAVEN AND HELL?

QUESTION RECEIVED>
Hey, there is a website called divine revelations. And it is a site where people have seen the lord and visited heaven or hell (Hades). I am curious as to if I can rely on that to tell others. I am not sure if all is exactly correct but it seems to be. The Lord does reveal himself but is it as vivid as these people claim it to be?  I mean it's not like they are lying also but I just need confirmation. Please check out the site, get back to me. I believe it’s true but I want to ask so I am sure.

MY ANSWER>
Here is a better idea.  Find out what Jesus Christ, The Apostle Paul and the Apostle John say about a first-hand view of Heaven and what Jesus Christ says about hell.
Sinful men can lie.  Why would I care about a man’s very questionable claim when I can have The King of Glory tell me about his throne room?

THE APOSTLE PAUL DESCRIBES HIS VISION OF HEAVEN
2 Corinthians 12
English Standard Version (ESV)
Paul's Visions
12 I must go on boasting. Though there is nothing to be gained by it, I will go on to visions and revelations of the Lord. 2 I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago was caught up to the third heaven—whether in the body or out of the body I do not know, God knows. 3 And I know that this man was caught up into paradise—whether in the body or out of the body I do not know, God knows— 4 and he heard things that cannot be told, which man may not utter.

JESUS DESCRIBES AN EVENT IN PARADISE AND HADES
Luke 16:19-31
English Standard Version (ESV)
The Rich Man and Lazarus
19 “There was a rich man who was clothed in purple and fine linen and who feasted sumptuously every day. 20 And at his gate was laid a poor man named Lazarus, covered with sores, 21 who desired to be fed with what fell from the rich man's table. Moreover, even the dogs came and licked his sores. 22 The poor man died and was carried by the angels to Abraham's side. The rich man also died and was buried, 23 and in Hades, being in torment, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham far off and Lazarus at his side. 24 And he called out, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus to dip the end of his finger in water and cool my tongue, for I am in anguish in this flame.’ 25 But Abraham said, ‘Child, remember that you in your lifetime received your good things, and Lazarus in like manner bad things; but now he is comforted here, and you are in anguish. 26 And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been fixed, in order that those who would pass from here to you may not be able, and none may cross from there to us.’ 27 And he said, ‘Then I beg you, father, to send him to my father's house— 28 for I have five brothers—so that he may warn them, lest they also come into this place of torment.’ 29 But Abraham said, ‘They have Moses and the Prophets; let them hear them.’ 30 And he said, ‘No, father Abraham, but if someone goes to them from the dead, they will repent.’ 31 He said to him, ‘If they do not hear Moses and the Prophets, neither will they be convinced if someone should rise from the dead.’”

JESUS DESCRIBES HEAVEN
Mark 9:47-49
English Standard Version (ESV)
47 And if your eye causes you to sin, tear it out. It is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye than with two eyes to be thrown into hell, 48 ‘where their worm does not die and the fire is not quenched.’ 49 For everyone will be salted with fire.

JESUS DESCRIBES HEAVEN
Matthew 25:41
“Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels."

THE APOSTLE JOHN’S ACCOUT OF HEAVEN
Revelation 4:1-3
English Standard Version (ESV)
The Throne in Heaven
4 After this I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven! And the first voice, which I had heard speaking to me like a trumpet, said, “Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after this.” 2 At once I was in the Spirit, and behold, a throne stood in heaven, with one seated on the throne. 3 And he who sat there had the appearance of jasper and carnelian, and around the throne was a rainbow that had the appearance of an emerald.

Trust Jesus who came from Heaven.
John 6:38
English Standard Version (ESV)
38 For I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will but the will of him who sent me.

God’s will is to seek and to save.
2 Peter 3:9
English Standard Version (ESV)
9 The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.

Avoid hell.
Turn from your sin, confess Jesus Christ is Lord for forgiveness of your sins and life with the Father in Heaven.
