Question Answered- So What Is God's Word? Jewish Scripture or Our Christian Translation?
So what is God's word, the Jewish scripture or our Christian faulty translation ?
Here is your problem.
It is a big problem.
“So what is God's word, the Jewish scripture or our Christian faulty translation?”
There is one Scripture of God written.
It is the 66 books with 40 authors written over 1,500 years.
The Bible was written as God’s plan for salvation for His people not people’s.
The Bible, all 66 books, IS then A CHRISTIAN BOOK!
And yes most of the authors of the 66 books, under the inspiration and perfect guidance of the Holy Spirit,
In the Old Testament through the New Testament, from creation and especially Genesis 3:15 through Revelation 22:21 , Scripture gives the story of humanities salvation available through Jesus Christ Alone.
What does the Bible say about the Bible?
2 Timothy 3:15 – 17 (NASB)
“15 and that from childhood you have known the sacred writings which are able to give you the wisdom that leads to salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. 16 All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness;”
What does Jesus Christ say about His words and how they will be preserved?
Mark 13:31 (NASB)
“31 "Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will not pass away.”
What does the Bible, in this play on words, say who wrote THE WORD?
John 1:1-3 (NASB)
“1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being.”
How seriously did Jesus describe His seriousness in protecting His words in last book The Revelation of Jesus Christ?
Revelation 22:18-19 (NASB)
“18 I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues which are written in this book; 19 and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his part from the tree of life and from the holy city, which are written in this book.”
You trust the Jews to have a trustworthy Scripture but wrongly call the New Testament a faulty translation?
Who wrote the New Testament which was “breathed out by God”?
Jews wrote the New Testament!
In fact most of the Old Testament was written in ancient Greek, which is a cleaner translation into English than was ancient Hebrew. It is a heresy to say Christians have a faulty translation in referring to the New Testament.
The Bible, all 66 books, is God’s story for salvation for us.
Jesus Christ was prophesied about in the Old Testament.
In the New Testament the life of Christ is told along with His death and resurrection.
The book of Acts and following epistles (letters) tell of the Ascension of Jesus Christ and the witness of the church.
Through the perfect life of Christ He was able to be the perfect sacrifice for our sin to God.
Jesus Christ received the punishment from God in the place of those who repent and believe in Him.
We who repent receive forgiveness of sin, peace with God and citizenship in Heaven when we die because we receive the riches of Christ, and through His work on the cross we are declared righteous before God His Father.
Christ will come and get the rest of His people who have not died when He returns.
This is from our Christian Bible –all 66 books of our Christian Bible.
In Christ Alone!
