Question Answered: What is The World's Jesus Problem? - He Thinks He Is King... and His Father agrees with Him

QUESTION RECEIVED:

To become a Christian does a person have to believe the Scriptures, traditions and world view?
Why should I be forced to accept these Scriptures?
I do not have to believe prepackaged ideas about other beliefs?

 MY ANSWER:
First of all we are dealing with the King of the Universe when we are talking about Jesus Christ.
We meet on the King’s terms.

We can inspect Christianity and the work of the Savior
and say how we want Christ to be or should be.
In reality God inspects us and we are under judgment until we are saved.
Jesus Christ tells us the Holy Spirit convicts us of sin.
John 16:8 New American Standard Bible (NASB)
“8 And He, when He comes, will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment;”

So we are under judgment for our sins until we are under grace when we repent or turn from our sins and receive salvation only through Jesus Christ.
By the King’s grace Jesus offered us undeserving sinners salvation.
Jesus tells us-
John 12:32
“And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all men to Myself.”

People that will be saved come to the King humble not haughty.
Jesus appeared on this world and lived a perfect life, taught, was crucified and resurrected and after forty days He ascended into Heavens.
We know all of this as ‘special revelation’ from the throne of God Himself.   Scripture is also ‘special revelation’.
No one will have an experience with Jesus that is contrary to the Bible.

Why should you accept Scripture as truth?
Jesus did.
He prayed to the Father-
John 17:17 “Sanctify them in the truth; Your word is truth.”

In fact in the New Testament you can read that Jesus believed in biblical creation, Moses and his miracles, Elijah and his miracles, Jonah.

2 Timothy 3:16  (NASB)
16 “All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness;”

You come to faith on King Jesus and His terms.
He gave you ‘special revelation’.

Do not be deceived about the character of Jesus from anywhere outside of the Bible.
Jesus came “lowley and meek”.  He rode a donkey into Jerusalem.
Then He destroyed the power of sin, hell, death and the grave.
You asked do you have to believe Scripture?  No
You can also refuse His gracious offer of salvation that you or no one deserves.

The Bible says He is the “Lamb” but He is also called “the Lion of the Tribe of Judah”.

The question for you is –
If the King is calling you how are you going to approach the King?
Haughty or Humble?
