Question from Asia on > Getting Hurt At Church

QUESTION RECEIVED:
I had a very bad experience with a church that I used to attend to. To make a long story short, instead of getting healed I was accosted and angrily shouted at to point of confusion. I never talked back and sought forgiveness, but in my memory, they refused to. I have been seeking the Lord ever since. I was told by a friend that the Pastor used my name as an example of a "dangerous man", to be "beware of him", in the sermon. Is this biblical? Are pastors allowed to do that?
Profile: Male 31-45 Asia

MY ANSWER:
Getting healed?  Were you there only for a physical healing and not to give glory to God or be saved?
Was the pastor mad because you were not getting healed?

Who Believes In The Fish Story About Jonah? For One King Jesus!

QUESTION RECEIVED:
In  Jonah chapter 4 why does Jonah have such a bad attitude about God's goodness?

MY ANSWER:
In chapter 1 Jonah did not like that God asked Jonah to go to Nineveh and preach salvation to the people to avoid their destruction. Jonah judged the people of Nineveh as being unworthy of salvation from God.  Jonah as we know fled to the city of Tarshish by boat when the Lord first told him to go preach at the city of Nineveh.  In chapter 2 Jonah ended up in the belly of a great fish due to his sin of disobedience.  Jonah was vomited out from the fish after three days inside the fish after Jonah declared “Salvation is of the Lord”.  The fish was really a tomb. In Chapter 3 Jonah does evangelize Tarshsish.  Yes in chapter in 4 Jonah was angry in that that God chose him to preach repentance and salvation through the Lord to the people of Nineveh.   The result was the city of Nineveh repented and was saved.
Yes we have a pouting evangelist in chapter 4, Jonah, who was angry that the Lord saved people the evangelist had contempt for.
The Lord questioned Jonah in “Jonah4:4 Then the Lord said, “Is it right for you to be angry?”

Why did Jonah have a problem with God’s act of salvation?
He did not like the way God did things when Jonah knew better.

Bible Study Colossians 3:1-11

Colossians 3 (New King James Version)

Not Carnality but Christ

1 If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. 2 Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. 3 For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.
(We are sitting at the right hand of God? You will appear with Him in glory? Where is our identity?  We are in Christ and he is in us.)

5 Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry. 6 Because of these things the wrath of God is coming upon the sons of disobedience, 7 in which you yourselves once walked when you lived in them.
(We have a responsibility as Christians. God hates sin-He loves you-you have power over sin. Are you victories over sin for His glory)

8 But now you yourselves are to put off all these: anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy language out of your mouth. 9 Do not lie to one another, since you have put off the old man with his deeds, 10 and have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him, 11 where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcised nor uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave nor free, but Christ is all and in all.

(Patience gentleness of grace what is God’s character? Exodus 34:5-7
Whole armor of God- Ephesians 6:10-18)
Watch how you react to people are you reflecting God, His character?
You are equipped to if you are a Christian.

Question >"Call On The Name of The Lord" Why?

QUESTION RECEIVED:
What does it mean to call upon the name of the Lord? (Gen 4:26, Acts 2:21) Is this different than prayer?

Prayer can be described as talking to the Lord.
In the Old Testament book of Genesis it says Seth is a man of God who seems to have gotten his people to again trust the Lord.
Seth was described by his mother Eve as a blessing of replacement after her son Cain murdered his brother Able.  Previously Adam and Eve had sinned and separated all of humanity from God.  Later Cain killed Able.  Death and sin made mankind aware of the need to go back to the Lord.  Men should call His name for forgiveness, fellowship and for how to live rightly.

Genesis 4:26 (NKLV)
26 And as for Seth, to him also a son was born; and he named him Enosh. Then men began to call on the name of the Lord.

In the New Testament in the history book of Acts Peter preached the verse you referred to.  Peter in the New Testament was preaching this verse from the Old Testament prophet Joel.  The phrase “And it shall come to pass” was now coming to pass.  Jesus Christ who was fully God and fully man had died on the cross, was resurrected and now ascended into Heaven.  He told the Disciples to go to Jerusalem and wait.  What were they waiting for?  They were waiting for Holy Spirit to fall and empower them for ministry.  This verse declares now is the time to declare that Jesus Christ died for your sins and if you repent from sin and turn to Christ you can be forgiven and have eternal life with the Father.

Acts 2:21
21 And it shall come to pass That whoever calls on the name of the Lord Shall be saved.’

These verses are not prayers.  You can pray these verses.
You can call on the name of the Lord and receive salvation and help.
Please do and continue to “Call upon the name of the Lord” once for salvation, and then often for help and direction.

God Is Holy - Exodus 19

QUESTION RECEIVED:
Why did God put such harsh limits on His people in Exodus 19 at Mount Sinai?

MY ANSWER:
Why did the Lord put harsh limits on the people?
Because the people did not know who and how He The Lord is.
-The King of His creation, who is holy, merciful, gracious yet serving justice

The people did not understand who or what they were.
-Created beings made from dust and lost in sin.

(Read Exodus 19.  The Lord placed limitations on where the people could go, what they could see and on their personal behavior- or they would die if they approached the presence of the Lord wrongly- as they were in an unholy state and The Lord is Holy.)

The problem was God called His people to be Holy and they are not.

Leviticus 20:26 New American Standard Bible (NASB)
26 Thus you are to be holy to Me, for I the Lord am holy; and I have set you apart from the peoples to be Mine.

Mankind had sinned and lost the relationship with God.  God was and is Holy.
In the fall (When the first man Adam sinned) humanity could no longer approach God.  Humanity had to be redeemed from their sin to draw close to a Holy God.
Man would be destroyed if in his sinfulness approached the Holy.
God sent a Redeemer a Savior.
When sinful humans repent of their sins and trust in Jesus Christ as the Savior who paid for their sins they are declared righteous before God.  They can therefore one day approach God in Heaven.

God was not being harsh to sinners here.
In Exodus 19 He was being merciful.

Last Days Salvation and the Round Tuit

QUESTION RECEIVED:
Who will be the ones that will be saved at the last day when Jesus returns?
How do you know if your one of the saved persons that will be taken to heaven?
If your name is not in the lambs book of life, at the last day if you call on the name of the lord can you be saved?

MY ANSWER:
First of all King Jesus is coming for His own people on His terms as He is King?
His terms are to come when He calls you, not when you "can get around to it."

Who are the ones saved when Jesus returns?
The ones who are “Born Again” as stated in John chapter 3.

A the Bible says lot of people claim a salvation they do not have.
You do not get saved live in sin and are satisfied with the slop of the world.
Sure Christian people have slumps.
Christians ultimately desire to serve their King.
Matthew 7:20-23 (NASB)
“20 So then, you will know them by their fruits.
21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter. 22 Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness.’ “

What is the will of the Father in verse 21 above?  His desire is to save you.
1 Timothy 2:4 (NASB) “4 who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.”

How do you know if you are saved?
1 John 5:11–13
11 And the testimony is this, that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.
12 He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life.
13 These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life.

You should get saved when Christ send the Holy Spirit now!
He is King so come when he calls.
You then can bear fruit and serve the King NOW!
Time is precious.
No man knows the hour of the return of Jesus Christ or a man’s own death.
When the King calls when the Holy Spirit draws you then you need to turn or repent of your sins and turn to Christ and serve Him.

You can have assurance now because of Jesus Christ and not your good works or prayers.
You can count on that.
Says who?  Jesus
John 10:28–29 (NASB) “28 and I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand. 2       “My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand.”

Question Answered: What is The World's Jesus Problem? - He Thinks He Is King... and His Father agrees with Him

QUESTION RECEIVED:

To become a Christian does a person have to believe the Scriptures, traditions and world view?
Why should I be forced to accept these Scriptures?
I do not have to believe prepackaged ideas about other beliefs?

 MY ANSWER:
First of all we are dealing with the King of the Universe when we are talking about Jesus Christ.
We meet on the King’s terms.
