QUESTION ANSWERED - Did Jesus Ever Sin or Break The Sabbath?

QUESTION RECEIVED:
I heard a famous Reformed teacher say that Jesus `ignored` certain OT regulations.
So did Jesus sin or break the Sabbath?
To prove his point he mentioned the instances when Jesus touched a leper and when He declared all foods clean. Is this a Biblical idea?

MY ANSWER:
My second grade Sunday School teacher at First Baptist Church Sunday School, Mrs. Bush, asked my class once “Did Jesus ever sin? “
In my childish ignorance I answered “Yes”.
She asked “When?”
I said “When He got lost from His parents when He went to the temple when He was twelve.”
We had just had a Bible lesson about Mary and Joseph not knowing where Jesus was when they left from a trip to the temple.
I knew I got into trouble when I got lost on a family vacation at Callaway Gardens.
This was not the same I was quickly told.
His whereabouts were unknown I was told- He was not lost.
Mrs. Bush “disabused” me of that notion.

Did Jesus Christ ever sin? NOPE!

2 Corinthians 5:21 New King James Version (NKJV)
“21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.”

Jesus Christ was the unblemished Lamb of God John the Baptist foretold of.

Did Jesus Christ ever ignore the law?  NOPE!

Did Jesus Christ ever ignore “religious” traditions of men? YES!
Matthew 8:3 New King James Version (NKJV)
“3 Then Jesus put out His hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing; be cleansed.” Immediately his leprosy was cleansed.”
Why?
Jesus Christ was still fully God.
He made the law.  So His interpretation tops all –even the Pharisees.
Mark 2:27 New King James Version (NKJV)
“27 And He said to them, “The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath.”

Yes there were Ceremonial Laws and Civil Laws that were in the Old Testament Scripture. they would change as the times would.
This was a new time.
The Christ was there with them now.
In America legal codes have changed as we went from horse and buggy days to cars.
The Hebrews were no longer desert dwellers fleeing Egyptians.
And now the completeness of their salvation was there with them
 – The Messiah Jesus Christ!
Mark 7:18-19 New King James Version (NKJV)
“18 So He said to them, “Are you thus without understanding also? Do you not perceive that whatever enters a man from outside cannot defile him, 19 because it does not enter his heart but his stomach, and is eliminated, thus purifying all foods?”

Jesus fulfilled all the Moral Law.
John the Baptist was right when he said in John 1:29 “Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world.”

Matthew 5:17-19 New King James Version (NKJV)
“17 “Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. 18 For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled. 19 Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.”

Jesus fulfilled all the Moral Law.
Why?
So He could pay for all the sin in the world of all who would repent and have faith in Him as Savior and Lord.
Have you done this?
