Crazy Congregations Judged

Crazy Congregations Judged

First the crazy clergy-
The Clergy Project has made much news recently.
What is it?
It is an organization started by noted atheist Richard Dawkins and other like minded people.
Active clergy (secret atheists still serving Christian churches) and former clergy, who are not believers in the "supernatural" (God and his works through Christ in the Bible), have banded together in The Clergy Project.
Here is the link to read about this group.
This atheist clergy group sees their leaving faith, if they ever had it, as intellectual evolution.
The atheist clergy do not see taking God's tithe for salary, education, or benefits, even though they do not believe, as being horribly unethical or dishonorable.
These 250 plus clergy see no problem that people trusted them to lead worship, teach and evangelize what they did not know and even have disdain for.
This band of clergy heretics include a United Methodist female, a Baptist male, a Lutheran and a Pentecostal and more across all Christian traditions.

The Lord will deal with them.
Philippians 3:18 (NASB) "For many walk, of whom I often told you, and now tell you even weeping, that they are enemies of the cross of Christ."

The crazy congregations-
What about the congregations?
Where were their ears?
Where was their discernment?
How could worship in "Spirit and Truth" been carried on without The Spirit and no one noticed?

An often told story is when Chinese Christian pastors came and toured some of our great American churches and it was reportedly said by one "It is amazing what the churches in America can build without the Holy Spirit."
Churches what were you thinking when you did not hear about the saving blood of Jesus Christ?
What were you thinking when you never heard "repent and believe the gospel?
What were you thinking when you never heard "Christ became sin and paid our sin penalty on the cross"?
What were you thinking you never heard "repent and believe the true gospel"?
What were you thinking when the preacher never said "Thus sayeth the Lord"?
What were you thinking when the preacher never said "you must be born again" and no biblical invitation to receive Christ was given?
Has Ichabod (meaning-The Lord has departed Israel) been written on the doorpost of the church like in the days of the prophet Samuel?
Congregations, or should I say victims of the atheist pastors, you have heard the opposite of the gospel of Good News.
Like in the days of Elisha there has been "death in your pot."

Congregations turn your tragedy to rejoicing.
Victim churches and congregations, here is the Good News that has been withheld from you.
This following message Jesus Christ Himself gave to the church at Laodicea.
These verses have been often been used for personal evangelism.
This was written for a suffering church.
Hear the healing words.

Revelation 3:19-21 (NASB) "Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline; therefore be zealous and repent.  Behold I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me.  He who overcomes, I will grant to him to sit down with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.
