Dogs and Heaven?

As I have answered many questions from others about the Bible, now I am asking myself one.
What happens to dogs in the hereafter?
I have heard answers about questions on pets in Heaven from others.
I have heard the question answered. Some people say no animals are in heaven because they have no souls. Their reasons are based on the thought that animals do not have redeemable souls. But they have to have worth to

Sympathy For The Devil?

QUESTION RECEIVED: Why can't Satan realize he is wrong, and beg God for mercy?

MY ANSWER:

"Sympathy For The Devil" is the the name of a 1968 Rolling Stones song.
Your question obviously brings that to mind.
Why should Satan have sympathy, mercy or grace?
Humans are not owed grace. Satan who once served God has no chance of grace. This is by the just decree of Jesus Christ. Grace is God's unmerited favor poured out to those who repent and believe the gospel by nothing else but the undeserved and unearned love of God. There is nothing

"Next Level Anointing" Junk Compared To The Jewels of Christ

QUESTION: "Is the Next Level Anointing biblical?"

MY ANSWER:

Is the "Next Level Anointing" biblical?
NO. Why? It is not in the Bible.
This looks like the latest gimmick of the false prosperity gospel.
You might know this false gospel as the old "Name It And Claim It" game.
Old school prosperity preachers used to promise great financial gain would be in store for you when you sent them money. Testimonies concerning miracles of health, n new cars, money made and personal financial gain are hooks these folks use so you will send in "seed" money to their ministry.

Why have there been great medical miracles ever?
The answer is not because

Your Excuse For Not Forgiving Others Was Destroyed By God

Here is a question from a blog post I read from Got Questions?.org, on 8/19/11, concerning Christians being required to forgive people even when they were not asked or apologized to by the offending party.
"Since God does not forgive until a person confesses/repents, does that mean we can withhold forgiveness from those who sin against us until they confess/repent?"

In my time as a minister I can remember many people who have confided in me with the problem of not being able to forgive someone who had done a great emotional, physical or criminal wrong to them.
How or why should a Christian forgive when a violator performs a crime with intent to harm, when the offender perpetrates physically, emotionally or financially against you or an innocent loved one. Today hateful persons

Advise On Receiving Advice

QUESTION RECEIVED:

I am a Christian man. Should I let other people to tell me what I should do with my life

MY ANSWER:

You have a Counselor, The Holy Spirit.
John 14:26 (ESV)
"26But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you."

Yes, so called men of God have given horrible advice to men. See the three friends of Job concerning bad advice. But elders or pastors are here to help you. The New Testament refers several times to people helping and giving advice in the life of the church.

To the church in Corinth, Paul told them

When Thugs Ruin the The Lord's Supper, and church unity

Question Received:

In my church, some believers are not in good relationship with each other. Or in other words living with hatred to some other believers. They are also partaking in the Holy communion without any hesitation. If we could not convince them about their position in connection with the breaking of bread, what should we do . Should we leave that assembly? Kindly advice.

MY RESPONSE:

Does the Bible address how we should relate with fellow believers in Church? YES
Where do we find so much divisiveness in the church? At the communion table, the place where the ordinance of the Lord's Supper is celebrated, the place where Christ
is remembered as He said “Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for you; do this

Jacob-Israel; What's In A Name?

QUESTION RECEIVED-

I know in the Bible that God changed Jacob's name to Israel. Why is it that the Bible still referred to him as Jacob even though God changed his name to Israel?

MY ANSWER-

You are right God did change Jacob's name to Israel.
Genesis 32:28 ESV
"Then he said, "Your name shall no longer be called Jacob, but Israel, for you have striven with God and with men, and have prevailed."

But the Bible, and thus The LORD, does not stop also in referring to Jacob as Jacob and now also Israel. Here is the story of Jacob.
Jacob is the son of Issac, who was the son of Abraham. Abraham was in covenant with the LORD that he would be blessed through Issac a royal lineage. Jacob, who would be known as Israel would have the twelve

Modern Bible Translations And An Inerrant Infallible Bible

QUESTION RECEIVED:

I have two questions related to John 5:3b & 5:4. 1. If the bible is the inerrant word of God and John 5:3b - 4 are not found in the oldest manuscripts then why are they in most translations but not all? 2. If John 5:3b - 4 are really words of John inspired by God then why do some teach that the "Angel stirring the water is superstition of the day". It seems that would be a stretch to not take this as literal if it is the Word inspired by God.

MY ANSWER:

This quote from the ESV folks is from - "English Standard Version Bible with Apocrypha. New York: Oxford University Press, 2009. Pg. 1177
Masoretic text of the Hebrew Bible (as found in the second edition of Biblia Hebraica Stuttgartensia), to the United Bible Societies' fourth edition of the Greek New Testament, and to the

"Oil of Gladness"-And The Gainesville High class of 1977 Big Red Elephants

Our class reunion was held this weekend with the last day being on Sunday July 31st.
I was cautiously waiting for it to happen all summer since I live still in our hometown of Gainesville,Georgia. I have served as a pastor, chaplain, evangelist and preacher the last sixteen years. Through the past two years a church plant I have been working with has worshiped in a local funeral home in their sanctuary. So I was asked to preach and help organize a proposed worship service to conclude Friday night, Saturday afternoon and evening activities. My greatest motivation was having the privilege of preaching the gospel to my classmates. Yes, my friends have all settled down on the idea

The Holy Spirit and Men of God

QUESTION RECEIVED:

Did D.L. Mooney, Charles G. Finney, R. A. Torrey, Billy Sunday, Billy Graham, ever speak in tongues?

MY ANSWER:

No is my simple answer. Moody (Influenced by Congregationalist, Presbyterian and Baptists) and R.A. Torrey (a Congregationalist) was part of the "higher life" or Keswick movement which taught a powerful work of the Holy Spirit by "Letting go and letting God". No historical facts have Moody practicing speaking in tongues, though he was friendly towards charismatics. R.A. Torrey wrote articles against what he called the falsehood of this practice. The modern charismatic movement was well before Finney's (A Presbyterian) time. This practice was not recorded
